The Washington Art Association & Gallery is thrilled to announce that our 10th annual Summer Solstice Festival will take place on June 23, 2018 from 6. Since 2008, this vibrant celebration of art and community has been the social event of the season in the Litchfield Hills.
Founded in 1952, The Washington Art Association & Gallery (WAA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching our community through education, exhibitions and special events.
All proceeds from Summer Solstice directly support WAA programming for studio classes and workshops, innovative exhibitions and special events.
Artists, collectors, celebrities, and revelers come to hear and far to enjoy a tropical summer evening, while, contributing to a great cause. Delicious food, music, drink and décor with a Caribbean theme transform WAA into a carnival of the senses. As if that is not enough, Waa’s Atelier Sale takes place concurrently, filling our galleries with exceptional affordable art, a sale that is much anticipated by collectors, members and interior designers.
Each year our renowned “Mojito King” and “Soul of Solstice,” Abdo Ballester, draws crowds with his signature Mojitos. Accomplished designers lend their talents to decorate our galleries and turn our terrace into a celestial escape. Ginga Brasileira will perform their unique blend of Samba and Capoeira and Ochun will play live Cuban music. As always, it is truly a night to remember!
Tickets for the event are $60 in advance, $75 at the door and may be purchased by calling the Washington Art Association: 860.868.2878 or via email [email protected].
