37th Annual Lake Waramaug Polar Bear Run

The Polar Bear Run is back!

We plan to host the Polar Bear Run in person this year, however, due to ongoing concerns with COVID-19 there will be a few changes to our event. Registration and number pick up will take place entirely outdoors. Awards will also be given outside. We will not hold our traditional Post Polar Party after the race.

Any runner who is experiencing COVID symptoms or has tested positive in the week leading up to the event should stay home. We will issue refunds to anyone who registered, but is unable to attend due to illness. While the risk of transmission outdoors is very low, we do encourage runners to have a mask on hand, and socially distance as much as is feasible in areas like registration and the start line.

We will continue to evaluate the situation and inform registrants of any updates to our COVID protocols as Race Day approaches. In the event that circumstances change leading up to the Run and we are forced to cancel, everyone will be refunded.
