Attention middle school book lovers! Book clubs create community. Join our middle school book club after school at the Gunn Library! Join Ms. Ashley for a seven-week club to read and discuss City Spies, by James Ponti.

“Sara Martinez is a hacker. She recently broke into the New York City foster care system to expose her foster parents as cheats and lawbreakers. However, instead of being hailed as a hero, Sara finds herself facing years in a juvenile detention facility and is banned from using computers for the same stretch of time. Enter Mother, a British spy who not only gets Sara released from jail but also offers her a chance to make a home for herself within a secret MI6 agency.”

We will discuss the assigned chapters each week and practice challenging trivia questions while enjoying a snack! A copy of the book will be available at the circulation desk upon registration. Please pick up your book before the first meeting. 6th-8th graders.
