Event Details

This presentation will discuss The Animal Welfare Society’s role and mission, aging in place with your pets, and how to get help when living situations change and pets must be re-homed.  Speakers will also discuss the shelter’s senior cats and dogs that are adoptable under the senior compassion discount program. A special visit from Tucker, a very friendly rescued Standard Poodle who now serves as a companion therapy dog, and Community Foundation, is the fifth in a series Animal Welfare Society and his owner Jane Hellman, will be featured in the presentation.  Underwritten by the Connecticut will bring this program to senior centers in our area.
