September Title: Indian Horse by Richard Wagamese
Wednesday, September 29, 7:00pm

Looking to expand your reading list and discuss a variety of issues and topics important to Native people? Please join our digital book club, As They Speak: Native Voices in Today’s Literature. Based on a variety of topics and featuring a range of genres, all of the books we will be reading have been written by contemporary Native authors. This month, we will be reading and discussing Indian Horse by Richard Wagamese. In this novel, which has also been adapted into a film, Saul Indian Horse grapples with his childhood at a boarding school, as well as his complicated relationship with the world of hockey. Spare and compact yet undeniably rich, Indian Horse is at once a heartbreaking account of a dark chapter in our history and a moving coming-of-age story. Join the virtual conversation hosted by IAIS Staff on ZOOM.

In order to have a more intimate conversation, space is limited. Please visit our website (www.iaismuseum.org) to register through Eventbrite. This is a FREE event, but donations are appreciated.
