Ultimate Collaboration culminates in a showcase of your collaborative dance, music, and painting and will be featured in a full-scale Pilobolus performance at the Warner Theatre in Torrington. This is a chance of a lifetime!

Team up with members of the internationally renowned Pilobolus Dance Theater for an exhilarating, collaborative dance workshop. In this one-of-a-kind class, you will explore, invent, interact, and become involved in Pilobolus’ signature style of creating dance while making new friends. You’ll see the limitless possibilities within the medium of movement as you become more comfortable with being physically creative, collaborative, and expressive.

Love to sing? Ever wanted to write your own songs? Come spend some time with other people who love music and want to sing and write with you. Explore creating strong, dynamic narratives while singin’ the blues. We will think about the work we do and challenges we face each day. Dynamic teaching artist and vocalist Michelle Fenton Begley, of the American Mural Project (AMP), will help you compose songs, guiding your unique voice as you tell your story and connect with the creative ideas of others.

Work BIG! Be creative! Be adventurous! Get messy in this mural-making workshop joining many artists in an exploration of music and materials. We’ll create our own BIG idea mural, inspired by the American Mural Project, with teaching artist Christine Mitchell leading the way. Paint recycled materials and found objects, and decorate our amazing mixed media mural while exploring themes of music and dance.
