Learn techniques to improve soil quality, protect perennials and shrubs through the winter, provide winter habitat for beneficial insects, and manage all those fallen leaves. Close down your garden for the winter the right way so your plants make it through to spring prepared to flourish yet another season! Daryl will answer your questions throughout the talk.

Daryl is the author of The New Gardener’s Handbook, a comprehensive overview of the fundamentals of gardening. He is the gardening certificate program coordinator at the New York Botanical Garden where he teaches the popular Fundamentals of Gardening course.
