Restoring and Rewilding Land
How do we come to know our land and work with natural processes to create a beautiful, connective system that supports all who inhabit it?
This site visit will encourage observation and understanding of the ecological, historical and cultural aspects of landscape. During it we will explore how a previously grazed, logged, and gardened piece of land is being steered and stewarded towards a diverse community of native plants. Meadows, woodlands, wetlands, and floodplain are some of the many habitats represented. Emphasizing the interface between the built, human environment and the wild, this visit will help you strive to develop a dynamic, cohesive landscape.
Join Horticulturist Robin Zitter as she leads us on a guided site visit.
Pre-Registration is required. All registered attendees should plan to meet at the site at 10 am.
