A PDA/CEU Workshop for Acupuncturists and other Healthcare Professionals – 13.5 NCCAOM PDA Credits Pending with Jampa Stewart, MSOM, L.AC., AOBTA Certified Instructor
Join us and learn one of the world’s most popular styles of Chinese self-healing Qigong exercise sets: Refinement Skill in 36 Exercises (Lian Gong Shr Ba Fa). Created in the 1950s by two Shanghai Tui-na practitioners and later expanded and refined at the Shanghai Physical Culture Institute by a committee of famed Qigong and Chinese martial arts masters, this system is composed of six sets with six exercises each to prevent and treat problems of the neck and shoulders, waist and lower back, hips and knees, upper and lower limbs, tennis elbow and internal disorders.
Derived from popular Qigong and martial arts exercises, Lian Gong has many of the benefits and characteristics that Tai Chi offers, yet is easier to learn and encompasses a wider range of movements to offer fitness and therapy combined.
Participants will learn therapeutic Qigong exercises for specific disorders that they can then prescribe and teach their patients to enhance and improve their healing outcome as an adjunct to acupuncture and Chinese herbal therapy.
Participants will learn a comprehensive Qigong exercise system for themselves to improve their strength, flexibility, relaxation, and to prevent and treat various musculoskeletal disorders;
Participants will deepen their understanding of how they can apply Medical Qigong exercise therapy as one of the major modalities of Oriental Medicine.
