Event Details

Each year, on the Saturday prior to Thanksgiving, The Frederick Gunn School shares the joy of the holiday season by opening its campus to the community of Washington and presenting the annual Friend of the Green Award. This year, in lieu of an in-person gathering, the school is hosting a virtual celebration to present the 2020 Friend of the Green Award to the Town of Washington’s COVID Response Team:

Jim Brinton, First Selectman
Jay Hubelbank, Selectman
Michelle Gorra, Economic and Community Development Coordinator
Adam Woodruff, Chief of the Washington Ambulance Association
Heidi Johnson, Assistant Chief, Washington Ambulance Association
Darryl Wright, Fire Chief
Matt Costella, Resident State Trooper
Patrick Kessler, Washington Police Officer

The virtual awards ceremony will be held via Zoom on Saturday, November 21, at 5:30 p.m. EDT. All residents and business owners in Washington are invited to attend. You can now watch the live recording here.
