In-person, outdoor event
For thousands of years, cultures throughout the world, including many Native American communities, used bows and arrows for utilitarian purposes, such as hunting. In modern times, archery is often used for recreational purposes, but it can still be an exciting way to practice patience, dexterity, hand-eye coordination and other useful skills. Anytime between 11:00am and 3:00pm, Join IAIS Educator and USA Archery Certified Instructor Lauren Bennett-Dionne for a quick pop-up archery experience intended for beginners to learn the basics of how to safely and accurately shoot a bow and arrow. Think you can hit a bullseye? Come give it your best shot!!
Please note: Minimum age to participate safely is 6 years old. Participants under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
Pre-registration is not required, but if you have questions, please call (860) 868-0518 or email [email protected]. Participation included in the price of museum admission: $12 for Adults, $10 for Seniors, $8 for Children, IAIS Members Free.
