Christine Vitarello (Mira), a contemporary fine artist and educator, lives in New Milford, with her husband and two children. Mira began her work as an artist and educator after earning degrees in Fine art and Art education at the Pratt Institute and the College of New Rochelle. Through the use of oil paint and soft pastels, her current style is a blend of impressionism and modern contemporary representational art. Her exhibit will be on display at the Gunn Memorial Library Stairwell Gallery in Washington from December 21 through January 25, 2020.
Vitarello tells us “As a young girl, drawing and painting were my constant, offering me peace and an avenue to express my loves. Presently, I paint to connect with my surroundings, the people in my life, and to archive special moments I have experienced.”
