New Beginnings Single Life Discussion Group

New Beginnings is a single-life ministry of The First Congregational Church. Our purpose is to provide a Christian focused church-based program for single adults. We seek to help single adults to find purpose and wholeness in all dimensions of their lives—physical, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual. At the heart of our ministry are our support groups, which offer healing and personal growth to participants. We also have a social component to our ministry, which provides opportunities to meet new friends and enjoy new experiences.

Single Life Support Group – We offer this forum several times each year. The group meets for ten weeks and is intended for those who are beyond the crisis of divorce or death and are trying to begin life anew. Topics to be discussed are determined by the participants. Possible topics include dealing with the loneliness of single life; recapturing self-esteem following a divorce; breaking out of the stay-at-home rut; financial issues; dating possibilities; and discovering strengths, passions and gifts.
