Outdoor Adventures with Steep Rock

Gunn Memorial Library is teaming up with the Steep Rock Association in Washington to explore nature and its positive influence on children. Rory Larson, Conservation Science Manager from Steep Rock Association, will lead children through the Story Walk at Macricostas Preserve.

The children will learn about the hiking trails, the Shepaug River, the overlooks and creatures of the Association Following Rory’s talk, Denise Arturi, from Judea Garden, will show children how to plant seeds and care for garden vegetables at home. Bring water, hiking gear and sunscreen for a fun day exploring nature!
