Capture the physical beauty of Judea Garden in celebrating its 10th season of growing and giving. Since the first shovel went in the ground, Judea Garden has harvested and distributed over 30,000 pounds of food to its neighbors in need.
Located in SRA’s Macricostas Preserve at 124 Christian Street in New Preston, CT, Judea Garden is full of photographic opportunities. Explore garden photography ideas in the field with your camera whether it be a digital SLR camera or mobile device. Your goal just might be an entry into the Judea Garden photography contest concluding October of this year.
Fine tune the methods of seeing and of photographing with the goal of expanding the way you see the garden in order to capture what you view in your images. This short workshop will give you tools that can help you bring your garden photography to a higher level and produce clear photographic visual imagery. We will learn how to set up a shot and evaluate light. Learn about depth of field, color, and light modification. Rich will offer hands on help and critiques to help you with your work as you create it.
Rich Pomerantz‘s photography has appeared in diverse periodicals ranging from National Geographic publications and books to Traditional Home, Garden Design, Horticulture and Fine Gardening, in White Flower Farm catalogues and in advertisements here and abroad. He has taught garden photography at the Massachusetts Horticultural Society, the NY Botanical Gardens and throughout country and abroad.
