Litchfield County native Lindsey Turner of Lindsey Victoria Photography saw a need in the community. With so many children distance learning or home schooling due to Covid-19, she wanted to create some normalcy in a decidedly strange year!
On October 15 she held a Pop-Up Fine Art School Portrait Afternoon under the Tent at the Litchfield Community Center. It sold out in 24 hours. Because there was such a great response and so many inquiries from people who weren’t able to participate, Turner is holding a second Pop-Up on Friday, November 13, 2020 from 2:00-5:00 pm, this time at Charym, located in the freestanding building in the courtyard of The Yard at 174 West Street in Litchfield. “
Children grow and change so quickly. Day to day you don’t see it, but year to year you will. I am excited to freeze this moment in time so you will always recall who your children are now,” said Turner. “These are not typical cheesy, even embarrassing school photos from your childhood. Fine Art School Portraits are black and white and classic with a dark grey background. Instead of forcing an expression, I encourage your child to be themselves. Sessions are less than 10 minutes and open to children of all ages.”
Advanced registration is required. $50 sign-up fee reserves your time and will be credited to your purchase. Print products and digital files will be available for purchase after viewing the proof gallery. Only one child will be photographed per time slot. This session takes indoors in the large space at Charym. Turner will wear a mask, sanitize her hands regularly and remain distant from each child. All fees are non-refundable.
