Sunday, May 16th @ 9:00am

Native peoples traditionally recognized that all beings are related and that animals and plants can be our teachers. During the spring season there are many changes happening in the world outside: the arrival of migratory birds, new plants emerging, and creatures shaking off the mud or emerging from eggs. Join IAIS Educator and Ecologist Susan Scherf for a guided hike to the Shepaug River. Along the way, Susan will discuss animal adaptations and explain what to look and listen for when trying to identify different species in the Eastern Woodland environment.

Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Please visit our website (www.iaismuseum.org) to reserve a space through Eventbrite. Questions? Please call (860) 868-0518 or email [email protected]. Price of Participation: $10 for Adults, $8 for Seniors, $6 for children and $5 for Members.
