Two sessions: Friday, March 15 & 29, 12:30pm to 2:30pm
Learn to make your first pair of socks, as Laura guides you through Rye, a simple “top-down” sock pattern from Tin Can Knits’ the Simple Collection. In this class, you will learn how to turn a heel, close a seam using kitchener stitch (aka grafting)…you can even try working your sock using both DPNs and Magic Loop to see which you prefer!
- Skill Level: Confident (Adventurous) Beginner; you can k, p, increase, decrease
- *Supplies needed: Rye pattern (available free on Ravelry). Needles: US3 / 3.25mm dpns (or circular for magic loop) and US5 / 3.75mm dpns (or circular for magic loop) (or as required to meet gauge). Yarn: 150 (175, 200, 250, 300, 350) yds worsted / aran weight yarn Baby (Toddler, Child, Adult S, M, L); stitch markers, darning needle. Our sample is knit in YOTH Yarns Daughter (color: Rosemary).
