In Person, Small Group Event

Throughout the year, the IAIS Education Department offers private craft workshops on Sundays. Sign up for a time slot with your family and friends. Express your creativity while learning about the world around you and connecting with a culture that has thousands of years of history in the area. For thousands of years, many Native peoples decorated clothing and items with materials found in nature, such as shell, stones, seeds and porcupine quills. In more recent centuries, multi-colored glass beads have become a favorite alternative. This week’s workshop will focus on beading basics. Join an IAIS Educator for an introduction into beading techniques and a chance to get started on your very own beading project. With Valentine’s Day approaching, perhaps you know a special someone who would appreciate this as a gift.

Space per session is limited and pre-registration is required. Please visit www.iaismuseum.org to reserve a space through Eventbrite. Questions? Please call (860) 868-0518 or email [email protected].
