The Interdistrict Strings Project

Students in grades 6 and older are invited to sign up for the Interdistrict Strings Project. Experienced violin, viola, cello and bass students from districts across Connecticut are brought together to train and collaborate with members of the Waterbury Symphony Orchestra (WSO).

Participants work in large and small groups with a WSO member to learn classical pieces, gain a deeper understanding of their instrument, and prepare to play in concert with one another. The culminating Side By Side performance is a rare and exciting opportunity for youth to perform with the WSO in front of a live audience. Sessions begin Tuesday, September 20 in Washington Depot, CT.
