At the Washington Friends of Music 2023 Summer Festival WFM is planning to present a stellar cast of world-class musicians who perform solo as well as in leading orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic and the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra. Under the leadership of Artistic Director and widely acclaimed cellist Wendy Sutter, these superb artists come to Washington to perform a unique program spanning from baroque and classical periods to the 20th century. For this summer an exciting repertoire from Vivaldi to Mozart to Beethoven and Piazzolla is in the works.
