Event Details

The Washington Friends of Music Concert Festival is on after Labor Day with the New Baroque Soloists, playing a festive mix of Vivaldi, Handel and Bach.

Join us on Fridays at 5:30pm on September 10th, 17th, and 24th at the Historic Meeting House in Washington.

This year’s Washington Friends of Music Summer Concert Festival comes roaring back with world-class musicians and superb performances of The New Baroque Soloists. Famous Cellist Sergey Antonov, Gold Medal winner of the International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow will play at the first concert on Sept. 10 with The New Baroque Soloists. The second concert on Sept. 17 will be dedicated to the memory of Metropolitan Opera’s esteemed violist Vincent Lionti, who loved to perform in Washington with The NBS. The best of Baroque music’s composers will be featured at the third and final concert on Sept. 24: Bach, Handel, Vivaldi, and Telemann – plus Leopold and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart! The musicians of The New Baroque Soloists Orchestra are renowned performers from New York and Boston. They come together here in Washington with Artistic Director Douglas Myers to play at the WFM Summer Concert Festival.
