Washington Friends of Music Summer Concert Festival

WASHINGTON FRIENDS OF MUSIC presents the 7th Annual Summer Concert Festival with THE NEW BAROQUE SOLOISTS.

The chamber orchestra includes outstanding members of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra and other highly regarded orchestras and ensembles in the US as well as abroad. Bach, Vivaldi, Telemann, and other well-known composers will be performed with trumpet, horn, oboe, strings, timpani, and organ, interspersed with brief anecdotes by the musicians about the composer, the instrument and the historical context. After the concert the audience is invited to refreshments and bubbly with the musicians.
