Bring the colors of a June garden to life on a sketchbook page. Stroll the garden to select flowers to sketch. Make color notes of the petals and leaves and complete a color study in the classroom. Take your pencil sketch and transform it into the wonderful world of color. The art of coloring is preparation; learn how to create a color palette to work from with the ease of colored pencils. Find out how to select the right colors for petals and leaves, which colors work best for the rich and vibrant colors of sunlit hues and those that express the subdued and deep, dark colors of shadows. With the guidance of noted botanical artist Carol Ann Morley you will gain control over your color choices and create a color drawing that has clarity and reveals the beauty of garden flowers.
