Holiday Happenings in Washington!

Washington truly shines during the holiday season. Twinkling lights, decorated shop windows, and festive events make our town sparkle. There are so many the wonderful, merry events happening in town this month, so mark your calendars and enjoy the holiday cheer!

Festival of Trees

Friday, December 7th; 5 pm – 7 pm
@ Gunn Memorial Library

At this joyous annual cocktail party, creatively decorated holiday trees, wreaths, and stockings will be on display for guests to enjoy and purchase. Tickets are available in advance at the library or at the door.

New Preston Village Winter Walk

Saturday, December 8th; 1 pm – 5 pm

Join the lovely shops of New Preston for an afternoon of special holiday sales and sweet treats. Take a stroll around the village to admire the decorated shop windows, snap photos with Santa, and enjoy festive holiday music.

The Gunnery's Holiday Concert

Tuesday, December 11th; 7:30 pm
@ Meeting House on the Green

The annual Holiday Concert features performances by The Gunnery’s Chamber Ensemble, Jazz Band, Rock Band, and The Gunnery Troubadours. Admission is free.

Holiday in the Depot

Friday, December 14th; 6 pm –  8:30 pm

Come be merry at the 27th Annual Holiday in the Depot! After the tree lighting, Santa will arrive for photos by his horse-drawn wagon. Take part in some holiday crafts and enjoy a horse-drawn hayride around the Depot. Experience the festive decorations and holiday treats throughout the Depot.

First Friday in the Depot-Holiday Edition

Friday, December 14th; 5 pm – 8 pm

Enjoy a special holiday edition of First Friday with a festive dance party at Valley Spirit. Hear the sounds of the “holiday” A Capella singers and Glenn Miller and dance with Arthur Murray Dance Studio.

11th Annual Slices with Santa

Saturday, December 15th; 5 pm – 8 pm
@ Washington Fire House

Join the Washington Volunteer Fire Department for their annual Slices with Santa! Take a bite of delicious pizza and pose for pictures with St. Nick. All proceeds will go to benefit families in need this holiday season.
