Spring Hill Arts Gathering: A New Tradition in Washington

The Spring Hill Arts Gathering (SHAG) is a new tradition starting in Washington! This year, the outdoor cultural festival will take place on July 29th – August 1st and August 6th – August 8th at Spring Hill Vineyards, 292 Bee Brook Rd, New Preston, CT. The festival’s programs will connect artists with nature, nurture diverse perspectives through creative collaborations and conversations, and share abundance within the Washington, CT community.

Each day will include fun for the whole family and new culinary experiences each day. Featured programs include performances by Ariana DeBose, The Doo Wop Project, Alex Newell, Sophie B. Founded by Stephanie and Tim Ingrassia in 2006, Spring Hill Vineyards has evolved from a modest wine-tasting venue to a center for community celebrations and cultural exchanges.

“SHAG is just as much about bringing the world to Washington as it is about bringing Washington to the world, because our community is filled with so many artists, writers, and thinkers. We’re excited to celebrate creativity and togetherness in the place that our family has called home for close to thirty years.”

Stephanie is serial producer of creative construction and design projects, and is Vice Chair of the Brooklyn Museum. Tim is Co-Chair of Global Mergers and Acquisitions at Goldman Sachs, and a Trustee of the Brooklyn Public Library. The couple spend their time between Brooklyn and Spring Hill in Washington, CT.

Pride in the Hills

This year, Pride in the Hills will be presenting in-person performances in collaboration with the Spring Hill Arts Gathering on Saturday, July 31st from 4pm-10pm. Performances will include Alex Newell, Sophie B. Hawkins, Mila Jam, Shequida Hall, DJ Zeke Thomas, Jeremiah Lloyd Harmon and more, with guest Creative Director Chris Herrmann.

Washington Town Party

You’re invited! Help us kick off a new annual tradition that brings together friends from across the community at the Washington Town Party as part of the multi-day event on Sunday, August 8th from 12pm -10pm. The Washington Town Party will center around a tribute to the 2021 Town Heroes and will include family activities, food vendors, the first annual SHAG Market, exciting performances and more. Tickets are free but registration is encouraged.
