Washington Friends of Music



Washington Friends of Music presents classical music concerts under the leadership of Artistic Director and renowned cellist Wendy Sutter, featuring a group of world-class musicians who perform solo as well as in leading venues and orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic and the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra. The repertoire spans from baroque and classical periods up to the 21st century. After the performances, the audience is invited to a jovial meet-and-greet with the artists.

WFM usually offers five concerts per year in Washington:

The WFM 2023 Summer Concert Festival takes place in the Historic Meeting House, First Congregational Church.

The New Year’s Day concert and party is held at The Frederick Gunn School Thomas S. Perakos Arts and Community Center.
