Looking for a sweet end to the winter months? As the days get warmer, but the nights remain cold, it’s the right condition for maple sugaring! Join IAIS staff for an event celebrating the gift of Maple Sugar. Throughout the day, IAIS Museum Educator and Ecologist Susan Scherf will demonstrate various traditional techniques of collecting sap and boiling it down into syrup and sugar. For an enriching experience, listen to some Traditional Native American stories and participate in family-friendly educational activities while learning about the gifts of the maple trees for Native and Non-Native communities.
Pre-registration is requested. Please visit our website to register online. Questions? Please call (860) 868 0518 or email [email protected]. Price: $15 Adults, $10 Children, $5 IAIS Members.
