Celebrate Earth Day and help us keep Washington clean this April 22nd – 26th!
From Thursday, April 22nd to Monday, April 26th, you’ll find trash bags and a dumpster in front of Bryan Memorial Town Hall in Washington. That dumpster is for you to bring any and all collected trash. Refreshments will be available on April 24th at 10:00am for participants! Let’s make Washington extra green and extra clean this spring.
You can also become a Washington Road Warrior!
The Washington Road Warriors (WRW) is a public participation program for volunteers who want to help control and reduce roadside litter/trash by cleaning and collecting trash/litter along their road (or any town road) at least four times a year. This program is an exciting way for residents to make a vital and positive contribution to our community and the environment. With WEC’s help and your efforts, every road in Washington will be safe as well as charming.
As the WRW program grows, WEC is hoping to have additional funds in order to recognize each road with an environmentally-sound WRW sign as well as be able to provide the supplies needed for a safe and effective litter collection. Learn more at: www.wec-ct.org.
