From farm to table to beautiful art, the unexpected and familiar shapes of the summer harvest are a feast for the senses. We will select from the greenmarket the best of vine, tree and soil as inspiration for our color pencil illustrations. Join us as you learn how to translate these delicious local seasonal fruits and vegetables into vivid works of art, using such techniques as layering colors, burnishing, embossing and more. For the beginner to the advanced artist.
The colored pencil workshops at Hollister House Garden are taught by Jeanne Reiner. Jeanne Reiner is co-founder of the Tri-State Botanical Artists. She is a nationally recognized botanical artist who holds a certificate in botanical art from and teaches at the New York Botanical Garden as well as Hollister House Garden.
Workshops are held in the barn.
