Spend a spring afternoon outside! Did you know that there are 350 different types of bees in Connecticut? These insects provide a critical service in our environment by pollinating plants so they produce fruit. Participants will assemble a bee house to take home made of an assortment of natural materials with Steep Rock Association’s Program Leader Rory Larson. You can further explore your creativity with artist Alyssa Robb through the printmaking process. She will introduce rubbings, stamps, and natural objects to create colorful prints as we observe patterns, textures, and motifs inspired by these pollinators and the beauty of Macricostas. You can make a difference in our local environment!
