Spend an early release day in the life of a Yale Student. The tour will start at the Yale Visitor Center and students will hear about Yale’s 300-year history and aspects of student life at several of Yale’s twelve residential colleges.
We will visit the Gothic Sterling Memorial Library, Yale’s largest, and the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library. Constructed with more than one hundred panels of translucent marble, the Beinecke is home to one of the world’s preeminent collections of rare materials, including the Gutenberg Bible. The Yale tour guide will leave us at the bookstore but we will be sure to stop at the Yale Art Gallery prior to leaving the campus.
Before returning back to Shepaug, we will grab a bite at one of the student’s favorite stops, Shake Shack.
