“Bear Aware Night” on Zoom – Tuesday, March 14, 2023 – 7:00 pm

Bear sightings have been on the rise around the lake and throughout Litchfield County, including an increase in home invasions. The Lake Waramaug Association is hosting a special talk and Q&A by Paul Benjunas, Wildlife Division Biologist at the CT Dept. of Energy and Environmental Protection on Tuesday, March 14th at 7:00 pm on Zoom. Paul will share important information about black bears in CT, easy steps you can take to prevent bears from visiting your home and property, and what to do (and not do) if you encounter a bear.
