Bumblebees pilot their remarkably un-aerodynamic bodies through our gardens. After studying the anatomy of these pollinators, we will use colored pencils and special drawing techniques to illustrate these fuzzy creatures seated on a coneflower or in flight.
Jeanne Reiner is co-founder of the Tri-State Botanical Artists, a chapter of over 70 members of the internationally renowned American Society of Botanical Artists. She is a nationally recognized botanical artist who holds a certificate in botanical art from and teaches at the New York Botanical Garden.
Open to all skill levels. Participants should bring all items included in the Bumblebees Material List.
