Tuesday, July 13 @ 4 pm– Laurie Hubelbank, local retired elementary school teacher, will teach us about butterflies! We will learn of their importance to the growth of outdoor gardens and how they help to pollinate flowers. Butterflies drink by “puddling” which is when they sip at shallow puddles of water in mud or sand. In the heat of the day, help a butterfly cool off, by making a Butterfly Puddle using a saucer, glass pebbles, and water. How wonderful to sit on your porch and watch dozens of butterflies glide by, lingering in the haven you have created for them. Call the Junior Library to request your curbside craft kit. Register here.
