Casting Call for Gunn Museum’s 11th Annual Washington Green Cemetery Tour

The Gunn Historical Museum announces auditions for its 11th Annual Washington Green Cemetery Tour on Oct. 26 – Fri, 6:30-8:30pm. Rain Date: Oct. 28 – Sun., 6:30-8:30pm. The auditions will be held on Sept. 9 – Sun., 3pm and Sept. 11 – Tues., 6pm. Auditions will be held at the Gunn Memorial Library, 5 Wykeham Road, Washington, CT. All ages and levels of experience welcome (students must be in grades 8-12). Community members encouraged to participate.

Rehearsals will be held Sept. 23 – Sun., 2-4pm, Oct. 7, Sun., 3-4 pm and Oct. 21 – Sun., 3-4pm.

The Washington Green Cemetery Tour is an annual “living history” event that showcases the rich history of Washington using costumed actors to portray local figures with connections to the cemetery and town. The theme of this year’s tour is “Tales from the Depot’s Shopkeepers”. It is a repeating evening walking tour lasting about an hour each time and is told by costumed actors. Students: as a volunteer you can earn your community service hours and have fun while doing it!
