Let’s go away with the Fairies with ARTOOM atelier
On Sunday, May 3rd at 2pm join Messy Jessy and special guest Ann Leviness for the Second Annual Forest Fairy House Workshop FREE via Zoom at the Judy Black Memorial Park and Gardens!
Cereal boxes are the secret ingredient for this Zoom class guiding you and your child through the house construction phase. You will learn how to break down your box and cut down, how to cut out windows and doors, and fashion a sturdy circular roof for your little round abode – all perfectly sized for a Forest Faerie. No amount of huffing or puffing will blow this house down! All you’ll need is a large (empty) cereal box or something similar, a pair of scissors, a low temp glue gun (or school glue and tape), and a pair of scissors.
After your structure is built, we will inspire you with foraged decor suggestions and then send the kids off to collect and decorate … if you’re lucky, Fairies will leave you some extra free time as they inspire your little humans to work on the many details of these houses for a Mother’s Day surprise… !
“Notes for parents”:
This workshop demonstrating the house building process will likely require adult participation for children up to about 8 years old. You will need to gather and prep cereal cardboard, scissors, hot glue (low temp) or and school glue and tape. A more detailed guide will be sent upon registration.
Finished houses may be shared online by posting to Facebook and Instagram, tagging @thejudyblackpark and #mayfairies!
For ages 5-18+
