Crowdfunding for Artists

Free Workshop! “Crowdfunding for Artists” on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 5:30 pm

Join us at the park for a collaborative event hosted by MASS MoCA’s Assets4Artists and the NW CT Arts Council on Thursday, February 15. This event is free and open to all artists and will consist of two parts:

First, you’ll be attending a workshop from 5:30 to 7:30 pm where visual artist Laura Christensen will share tips and tricks to help crowdfund your art project. In this workshop, Laura will guide participants through the process of preparing and running a successful crowdfunding campaign, from setting funding targets, to identifying potential backers, to sharing your campaign with the world. Participants will take away best practices for running a short-term campaign to fund a particular project on any crowdfunding platform.

After the workshop, you’ll get to meet and talk with other attendees at a reception with light refreshments. This event is FREE and open to all artists.
