Celebrate Earth Day in Washington!
The Washington Environmental Council will be hosting a celebration of 50 years of rich history at Judy Black Memorial Park and Gardens on Saturday, April 23rd from 11am – 1pm. There will be a wonderful display of WEC’s history, family and earth friendly activities, refreshments to enjoy, and senior project displays from Shepaug High School students. We will be joined by other local organizations on the lawn to celebrate Earth Day and all that Washington has done to conserve and protect our beautiful town and natural surroundings throughout the years.
Washington Environmental Council is a local nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting the environmental quality of the Town of Washington and beyond through advocacy, leadership, education and collaboration.
