Its foraging season! Many types of plants and fungi are starting to re-emerge after a long winter’s rest. But how do you properly identify, locate and prepare foods that grow in the forests and fields of our Eastern Woodland environment during this time of year? Join IAIS Educator and traditional skills expert Griffin Kalin for a discussion on how to identify, harvest, process and cook spring wild edible greens, tubers, fungi and more.
PLEASE NOTE: This program is intended for educational purposes only. You should NEVER eat anything in the wild if you don’t know what it is. Please dress appropriately for the weather as this is an outdoor event.
Sign up for a time slot with your family or friends. Registration per time slot is limited. Please visit our website at www.iaismuseum.org to reserve a space through Eventbrite. Questions?
