On Sunday, June 5th, Hollister House Garden welcomes children, parents, grandparents and other family members for a day of learning and fun!
The day begins at 1:00 pm with refreshments and a botanical-themed scavenger hunt to help guide children and caregivers through the garden. Gunn Memorial Library will present two programs at 1:30 and 2:30 pm, each of which will feature a garden-themed story, music, movement and a craft project. Julie Haesche will offer a family-friendly yoga demonstration at 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm. Throughout the day Village Center for the Arts will offer flower-themed face painting to kids and adults alike. The day will conclude with a short presentation on pollinator plants, with a seed give-away for gardeners of all ages.
Please note, refreshments will be provided, and families may also bring their own food and drinks. Picnicking will be permitted in a limited portion of the property, if weather conditions are favorable.
In the event of severe weather, Hollister House Garden will post any changes or cancellation on its website the morning of June 5th. Admission is free, but guests are strongly encouraged to register ahead of time to help us plan!
