J.Seitz Celebrates 33 Years!

Thirty three years ago, Joanna Seitz opened her iconic design shop J. Seitz & Co. in a vintage 5,000 square foot building in New Preston, CT overlooking New Preston falls. The shop was a wild success from the beginning, gaining accolades from editors and designers across the country. It was featured in just about every design magazine (as it continues to be) and the shop was also featured in a coffee table design book published by Rizzoli showcasing J. Seitz along with venerable New York retailers such as Bergdorf Goodman, Bloomingdale’s and Henry Bendel. J. Seitz was the only independent small retailer featured. “This was one of our biggest honors to be showcased on many pages of this beautiful book with all these others amazing notable retailers” stated Joanna Seitz.

The shop will host a celebration under its roof featuring many of the artists they carry — and organic vegan snacks and wine will be served.
