Kick off the Holiday season with the Sherman Chamber Ensemble for an evening of Jazz! Celebrate the 100th birthday of Charles Mingus, virtuoso bass player, accomplished pianist, bandleader and composer – and one of the most important figures in twentieth century American music, Also a spotlight on the music of drummer Chris Parker who has worked with everybody from Bob Dylan to Miles Davis, James Brown, Aretha Franklin, Laura Nyro and Lou Rawls,

With Ted Rosenthal (piano), Eddie Barbash (alto sax), Susan Rotholz (flute), Chris Parker (drums), Thomson Kneeland (bass) and Eliot Bailen (cello).
