“A Day in the Life of a High Schooler” By Taylor Giroux

Taylor Giroux, a senior at Shepaug Valley High School chose candid photography as her senior project that will be on display at the Gunn Memorial Library Stairwell Gallery from March 19, 2022 through April 23, 2022 in Washington, CT. Meet the artist on Saturday, March 19th from 12 to 2 PM.

Taylor says “I’ve been interested in photography since I was five years old; and I thought it would be a fun way to incorporate my friends, family, and community into my project while also exploring the history and art of this type of photography.”

Giroux has taken as many classes on photography as available to her at Shepaug and has put her knowledge of candid photography to use by taking photos at school events, basketball games, and around town, editing her photos in an app called photoshop express.
