LAST CHANCE Chas Hollinger Exhibit

Painting and being outdoors in nature have charted the course of Chas Hollinger’s artistic career. A plein air painter for eight years, he now finds himself returning to the studio with a unique perspective. This month, The Hen’s Nest presents a new collection of Hollinger’s landscape paintings on display now through September 8, 2024.

With an impressionistic style, Hollinger focuses on “quiet moments” incorporating vibrant color, bolder lines, and sometimes figures to create a subtle narrative. The effect is a powerful, quiet intimacy between the viewer and a beautiful place, often in Martha’s Vineyard, where Hollinger has spent a lot of time.
