Megan Marden, a Danbury, CT native, teaches art history, painting, and drawing as an Associate Professor at Post University as well as an Adjunct Professor at Naugatuck Valley Community College in Waterbury, CT. Marden’s work has been shown both in group exhibits as well as solo exhibits in the Connecticut and New York area. Gunn Library Stairwell Gallery in Washington is pleased to have her exhibit her work from November 21, 2020 – February 20, 2021.
Marden: “In my paintings, I try to communicate a specificity of place that is non-visual—the musty, attic-like smell, the sounds of an old building and a framing shop next-door. The sense of being in the center of a small city, but also feeling isolated and disconnected from it.”
Gunn Memorial Library is located at 5 Wykeham Road at the juncture of Route 47 opposite the Green in Washington, CT. Library hours may be found at gunnlibrary.org. For more information call (860)-868-7586 or email the library circulation desk, [email protected].
