Margaret Grimes (1943-2020) was widely recognized for her dynamic and complex depictions of nature. Working primarily in Northwestern CT, her career was marked by 18 solo exhibitions in NYC, inclusion in the National Academy of Design and as founder of WCSU’s MFA program.
Michael Quadland grew up in Williamstown, Massachusetts, He majored in art at Dartmouth College, where he graduated with distinction in studio work. He also holds a PhD in psychology from New York University and a Master of Public Health degree from Yale. After demanding New York City careers as a clinical psychologist, assistant professor of psychiatry at Mt Sinai Medical School, AIDS researcher, and eventually novelist, he returned to painting. He now lives and paints full time in Litchfield, Connecticut.
