Readings from the Archives: “The History of Calhoun Street”

The first in a series of Readings from the Archives by the Gunn Historical Museum, join us for a virtual reading by of the paper, Calhoun Street, written by Mrs. Helen Fenn Whitehead in 1938, read by Stephen Bartkus, Museum Curator. This paper discusses the history of the neighborhood, including the families that lived on Calhoun Street, the schools, businesses and farms, from the time of the Native Americans up to the early twentieth century.
