Dr. Marguerite Mullee will be offering a six week workshop in singing Chant on Tuesday evenings 7PM – 8:30PM beginning March 12 at St. John’s Parish Hall, 78 Green Hill Road, Washington CT.
Dr. Mullee is Music Director at St. John’s and a specialist in Chant and vocal pedagogy. The workshop will explore the diversity of chant, with topics including vocal technique, breath support and legato singing, reading Gregorian notation and different forms of psalmody.
The group will present a Good Friday chant meditation, including the chanted passion and motets and chants from Anglican, Roman and Orthodox traditions, at St. John’s Church on April 19 at noon. The fee is $95 and includes all materials.
