Sciencetellers: Aliens Escape from Earth!

Every year The Gunn Memorial Library participates in the nation wide summer reading program- The Collaborative Summer Library Program (https://www.cslpreads.org/). This year’s theme is “A Universe of Stories”- a galactic reading adventure. They will have family friendly programs suitable for all ages on Tuesday nights at 6:30. Their kickoff program will be Tuesday, July 9 at 6:30 pm- the library has booked a group of artists and teachers called ScienceTellers (http://www.sciencetellers.com/) where they will be taking us on the following interactive journey where kids will get to participate in various science experiments that compliment the story:

“During a midnight meteor shower, something mysterious falls from the sky toward Earth — but it’s not a shooting star. Two curious kids venture into the forest to investigate and find themselves mixed up with a family of visitors from another planet! Pursued by a crazy space scientist, they must risk everything to rescue the aliens and get them back to their spaceship — before it’s too late!”

Their other Tuesday Night programs will be space/science themed and lots of fun!
